The
87th Academy Awards ceremony was held on February 22, 2015. This is one of the biggest award shows of the year, and people around the world hold Oscar watch parties just to see who wins and, more importantly, who wore what to this star-studded affair. Most people look to see what the women wore, but more and more male celebrities are pumping up their fashion sense and we are definitely excited about it!
Neil Patrick Harris
The host of the night, Harris is no stranger to taking charge of an awards show, having hosted the Grammys and the Tonys. Of course, he opened with a musical number during which he wore a classic
designer tuxedo complete with black bowtie. He went through a number of different outfit changes, as hosts tend to do, including one bit where he stood on the stage in nothing but his underwear. Very daring, indeed!
Chris Pratt
One of Hollywood’s rising stars, Chris Pratt has gone from a small role in the TV series Parks and Recreation to leading man, heading up the cast of last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy and providing the voice of the lead character in The Lego Movie. He looked very handsome in his traditional tux and walked the red carpet with confidence and charm.
Channing Tatum
He may be taking his clothes off in the upcoming film Magic Mike XXL, but Channing Tatum kept his tux on during the Oscars, and we thought he looked exceptional. He accented his
1 button shawl lapel tuxedo with a small white pocket square to add a bit of color to the jacket. He also wore a sleek pair of shiny
black tuxedo shoes to complete his look.

Jared Leto
While many of the other men wore black tuxes to the ceremony, Jared Leto decided to go all white. Everything from his shoes to his bowtie was white. His one bit of color was a pink flower stuck in his lapel. Leto has a way of standing out at any event, and as always we were happy he did.
David Oyelowo
Star of Selma, one of the films nominated for Best Picture, David Oyelowo also decided against wearing the usual black and white tux. Instead, he strode down the red carpet in red. His
red tuxedo definitely made him stand out from many of the other attendees. He paired it with a classic white button up shirt and accented the jacket with a small lapel pin.
David Burtka
David Burtka flashed a smile while walking the red carpet with Neil Patrick Harris before his husband headed backstage to prepare for his hosting duties. Burtka went with a pair of black tuxedo pants paired with a white shirt and white tuxedo jacket. His black bowtie was the perfect piece to tie everything together.

Adrian Brody
Adrian Brody almost matched Burtka—he also wore black pants with a white jacket, but his tuxedo jacket featured black lapels and a black breast pocket so that he stood out.
Many other men at the Oscars wore classic tuxedos, including Ethan Hawke, Richard Linklater, Michael Keaton, and Steve Carell. While only a few people took home a statue, it’s safe to say that all of the men were winners where fashion was concerned.
